PRESENTATION MEDAL FOR SAVING LIFE, 1882, in silver (35mm), with handcrafted silver wire suspender and ribbon brooch bar, the plain rimmed disc medal is inscribed on the obverse, 'Presented/at/Sydney/by', and on the reverse, 'H.F.James./to/Edward Zabiela/for saving his life/off Ushant/27th Aug. 1882.' In a fitted plush case, good very fine.

Ushant is a French island at the southwestern end of the English Channel.
