SALONINUS AS CAESAR, (A.D. 255-259), silver antoninianus, (3.72 g), Samosata mint, 1st-2nd emissions of Valerian I and Gallienus, obv. SALON VALERIANVS NOB CAES, radiate draped bust to right of Saloninus, rev. SPES PVBLICA, Saloninus standing right, holding spear and receiving flower from Spes, standing left and lifting hem of dress, (S.10775, RIC 36, RSC 95). Toned, extremely fine and rare.
