CHINA, Chou Dynasty, Middle to late period, "Yuen" or I series, hollow handle spade, (c.400-250 B.C.), one character spade money, "Hau", height 98mms, (39.7 g), (cf.Hartill 2.1 - 2.129, -cf.Coole Vol.2 348, cf.TFP 44, JMBQ 20). Some green encrustation, otherwise fine and very rare.

Ex Patrick J. O'Rourke Collection and previously from Noble Numismatics Sale 56 (lot 3375).
