FRANCE, Ministry of Agriculture medal, 1888, in silver (42mm), by H.Ponscarme, obverse, head of Ceres the goddess of agriculture left, reverse, agricultural products around caduceus and across the centre is a plaque with the text, 'Epinal.1888/Concours Regal Agrle/Commissaire' (Epinal 1888 Royal Agricultural Competition Commissioner). In case of issue, nicely toned extremely fine.

Epinal is a commune situated on the Moselle River about 60km south of Nancy in northeastern France.
