COMMODUS, (177-192 A.D.), AE sestertius, 29-31mm, (22.26 g), issued in 181, obv. M COMMODVS AN TONINVS AVG, laureate head of Commodus to right, rev. around ANN AVG TR P [VI] IMP [IIII COS] III P P, S C across flan, Annona, draped, standing front, head left, holding two corn-ears in right hand over modius and corn-ears left and cornucopiae in left hand, (S.5731, BMCRE IV p. 770, 442 and pl. 103.3, C.4, RIC III p.403, 307a, MIR 507). Dark brown patina, slightly short on flan on reverse, otherwise nearly extremely fine/good very fine.
