FAUSTA, daughter of Maximianus and wife of Constantine, issued A.D. 326, follis, Nicomedia mint, (3.42 g), obv. mantled, bare-headed bust right, wearing necklace, around FLAV MAX FAVSTA AVG, rev. Spes standing facing, looking left, head veiled, two children in her arms, around, SPES REIP VBLICAE, in exergue SMNA, (S.16574, RIC 97A, C15). Green toning with earthen encrustation, nearly extremely fine and very scarce.
