ANCIENT BRITAIN, Gallic War imports, (c.55-54 B.C.), Ambiani, uniface gold stater (6.13 g), obv. plain, rev. M-shaped Celtic horse right with short forelegs, crescents, pellets and charioteer's arms above, pellet and crescent below, corded exergual line with torcs and pellets below. (S.11, Sills class 3a, ABC 16 var, GB 5, Van A 54-1, LT 8710). Extremely fine, neat flan, well centred and attractive.
