ANCIENT BRITISH, Cantiaci, (c.50-40 B.C.), gold quarter stater, (1.32 g), Corded triangle type, obv. plain, rev. Celtic horse to left, corded 'triangle' above with ringed-pellet in centre, ring above and below tail, ringed pellets around, cross-hatched net below, (S.172, ABC 198, Van A 151, BMC 2469-71, M 85). Attractive rose gold, nice flan with a full horse, full triangle and neat ornamentation, nearly extremely fine - extremely fine and rare.
