JAPAN, WWI, Hinomaru Yosegaki (Good Luck flag) printed silk national flag with signed messages and well wishes (approx 90x70mm) a traditional gift for Japanese servicemen deployed during the military campaigns of the Empire of Japan, most notably during WWII, usually given to a soldier, signed by friends and family, often with short messages wishing the soldier victory, safety and good luck; small Imperial battle flag, printed on cotton, with a handwritten message in Japanese. First very delicate with tears and overall damage, second showing wear and soiling, fine. (2)
