ZENO, (A.D. 474-491 second reign), gold solidus, Constantinople mint, fifth issue, c.A.D.485-491 (4.47 g), obv. helmeted and cuirassed facing bust of Zeno holding spear and shield, around D N ZENO PERP AVG, rev. VICTORI A AVGGG**G*, Victory standing left holding long cross, star in right field, CONOB in exergue, (S.21514, RIC 929, LRBC 620ff). Extremely fine and very scarce.

Ex Dr. V.J.A. Flynn Collection and previously from M.R.Roberts retail sale in packet described and noted as from the Ron Hansen Collection.
