THESSALY, Pharsalos, (424-405 B.C.), silver trihemiobol, (1.28 g), obv. helmeted head of Athena facing, turned slightly to left, above **L FARS*, armoured and helmeted warrior with bird perched upon his helmet, riding prancing horse decorated with necklace of circular elements to r. and brandishing flail ending in two balls, V in exergue. (Lavva 261 (V146/R179), BMC 17, SNG Copenhagen 224). Toned very fine and very rare.
