SYRIA, Kingdom of, Demetrios I, (162-155 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (14.63 g), Antioch mint, issued period 162-150 B.C., obv. diademed head of Demetrios to right within laurel wreath border, rev. Tyche seated to left with leg of throne a winged monster, holds sceptre and cornucopiae, to right **BASILEWS*, to left **DHMHTRIOU*, monogram in left field, (S.7014, SNG Spaer 1257, SMA Newell 81, BMC -). Toned, porosity, Very fine.
