THEODOSIUS II, (A.D.402-450), gold tremissis, Constantinople mint, (1.51 g), obv. draped and cuirassed bust of Theodosius II to right, around d N THEODO SIVS PP AVG, rev. Victory to right, head to left, star in right field, holding wreath and cross on globe, around VICTORIA AVGVSTORVM, CONOB in exergue, (S.21167, RIC 213, T.65). Delightful red tone, extremely fine and rare in this condition.
