SYRIA, Decapolis, Gadara, Gordian III, (A.D. 238-244), AE 25, (11.25 g), issued year 303 = A.D. 239-240, obv. Gordian III laureate draped bust to right, traces of legend around, rev. galley sailing to right, in three lines **POM P/ GADARE/ WN*, in exergue **G* T = 303, (S.3781, SNG ANS 1332-8, Spijkerman 93). Nearly very fine, earthen patina, rare.
