SYRIA, Seleucis & Pieria, Antiochia ad Orontem, (Antioch), Philip I, (A.D. 244-249), billon tetradrachm, (12.04 g), issued 248-9, obv. laureate cuirassed bust right of Philip I, around AVTOK K M IOV**LI FILIPPO*C CEB, rev. eagle facing open wings, head to right with wreath, around, **DHMARC EXOU*CIAC V**PATO D*, ANTIOXIA over S C in exergue, (cf.S.3958, McAlee 934, Prieur 445). Silvered surface, extremely fine and scarce.
