EGYPT, Kingdom of, Ptolemy II, Philadelphos, (285-246 B.C.), AE 27, obol, (16.83 g), Alexandria mint, struck c.266-265 B.C., obv. laureate head of Zeus to right, rev. eagle to left with open wings standing on thunderbolt, around **BASILEWS PTOLEMAIOU,* dotted border, (S.7782, Sv.553, Weiser 11, SNG Cop. 119-120). Deeply toned, good very fine and scarce.
