CAG No.21 16/5/1903, p280 to 834 Sgt John Falconer Chisholm, Southern Tasmania Artillery.

Mr John Falconer 'Jock' Chisholm, a native of Scotland, died at his residence, Kinnoull, Upper Holebrook Place, Hobart on 19 June 1939 at the age of 78. He was for many years a leading coach builder being a partner in the firm of Vout and Chisholm which operated from premises in Argyle Street. In his early days he took an active interest in the military and was a sergeant in the Southern Tasmanian Artillery Detachment. He later transferred to the field battery in which he held the rank of battery sergeant. After he retired from the military he received an honorary commission as lieutenant. He also was active in Masonic activities. He was buried at Cornelian Bay Cemetery.
