GROUP OF FOUR: 1939-45 Star; Africa Star; War Medal 1939-45; Australia Service Medal 1939-45. NX21957 M.A.Ben (mis-spelt should be Benn). All medals pantographed. Court mounted and on display board, the stars cleaned in past, otherwise very fine.
Michael Arthur Benn, born 11Aug1919 at Leichhardt, Sydney, NSW; Enl.15May1940 at Sydney, NSW; TOS 2/17 Bn 28May1940; Emb.20Oct1940 for ME; Served 1941 at Mersa Matru, Egypt and Benghazi, Gazala escarpment, Tobruk, Red Line west of El Adem Road; WIA 26Sep1941 compound fracture right tibia, simple fracture of right ankle and corneal abrasions, at Tobruk; RTA 21Nov1941; Disch.16Sep1944 as medically unfit; civilian employee for RAN, at Garden Island, 1956; Died 01Mar1990.
