GROUP OF FOUR: 1939-45 Star; Pacific Star; War Medal 1939-45; Australia Service Medal 1939-45. H D Iffla R.A.N.R. (S). All medals impressed. Display mounted, very fine.

Together with very well worn naval officers hat badge.

Howard Douglas Iffla, merchant seaman (mariner's certificate issued in Hong Kong 1904), born 26Jun1884 at Melbourne, Vic; son, Douglas Moir Iffla born in Hong Kong 21Aug1923, also served in RANR (S); commissioned into RANR (Seagoing) as Probationary Temp Eng Lieut 20Aug1941; HMAS Rushcutter to 10Sep1941, Birchgrove Park to 03Dec1942, Townsville to 08Oct1943, Assault 30Oct1943, Ping Wo 30Nov1943; Appt terminated 11Oct1944; retired from Merchant Service in 1958; Died 14Mar1969.

With copy of service record of H.D.Iffla and also of his son D.M.Iffla who served in WWII and also with RAE in Korean War, and other research and photos.
