ANCIENT BRITISH, North Thames Region, Catuvellauni and Trinovantes, Inscribed coins, Cunobelinus Plastic type, (c.8-41 A.D.), gold quarter stater, (1.35 g), obv. ear of corn with no central stalk, [C]A to left, M[V] to right, rev. horse rearing to right, dashes for mane, pellet triad above, CVN below, (S.294, ABC 2816, Van A 2015, BMC 1846-48, M 204). Nice rose gold, areas of weak striking and die flaw on obverse, very fine or better and a rare variety.
