COMMODUS, (A.D. 177-192), silver denarius, issued 191-192 A.D., Rome Mint, (3.15 g), obv. laureate head to right of Commodus, around L AEL AVREL COMM AVG P FEL, rev. VOTA SOLV PRO SAL P R around, Commodus standing to front head to left, sacrificing out of a patera over lighted tripod-altar, and holding roll; prostrate bull on the ground, (S.5725, RIC 262, RSC 984). Nearly extremely fine/very fine.
