OTTOMAN EMPIRE, 1805, yataghan sword, blade is 46cm long and decorated with silver inlay and dated AH1220 (1805 AD), bone grips with flared ears and around the centre and overlaying onto the blade for a distance of 8cm is an elaborately patterned, raised silver decoration, and with a fine chased silver scabbard, total length including scabbard 63cm. Small chip at bottom on one side of bone handle, otherwise very fine.
