TRANSPORTATION TOKEN, stipple engraved legend both sides of a penny sized blank (shaved down cartwheel?). 'When this/you see remember/me when i am on/the raging sea/banished from my/country bound/in chains of/slavery'. Rev. 'Happy is/the hour the/prisoners free/and breaks the/chains of slavery/Thomas Foster/aged 17/1835'. The stippling mostly feint, a few minor edge bumps otherwise fine and rare. $ Thomas Foster was transported to N.S.W.
