SICILY, Syracuse, (c.485-479 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (17.27 grams), obv. slow quadriga driven to right by male charioteer, Nike flying right crowning charioteer, rev. **SUPAKOSION around to right, head of Artemis-Arethusa to right, hair slightly waved and turned up behind under diadem of beads, four dolphins around, (cf.S.914, Boehringer 240 same dies (obverse 108/reverse 163 dies), Naville sale 4, [lot 311 same dies]). Some porosity on the reverse, otherwise nearly good fine/very fine and very rare.

Boehringer notes only 4 specimens from these dies.
