PALESTINE, Judaea, First Revolt, (A.D. 66-70), copper prutah, year 2 = 67-8 A.D., (2.242 grams), obv. amphora with broad rim and two handles 'year two' in Hebrew around, rev. vine leaf on small branch, 'the Freedom of Zion' as Hebrew legend around, (S.5639, AJC 12 [p.260, Pl.18], H. 661 [123], Meshorer 153 [p.155], Kadman 11, cf.Maltiel-Gerstenfeld 230). Brown patina, very fine and scarce this nice.
