KINGS OF MERCIA, Offa, (757-796), light coinage (c780?-792) silver penny, obv. OFFA REX in the angles of a cross pommee with smaller cross in centre, rev. EOBA in the angles of a cross pommee with a pellet in each angle, (cf.S.904, BMC. obv,VII-14, rev. V-13, Br.-, Blunt 12, Mack 551, Lockett 3571, Duveen 18). Very fine and considered to be unique.
