Ex Attenborough Hoard (1966) in original British Museum packets described with weights and coin numbers from the hoard (numbers 549, 555, 574, 579, 585, 592, 596, 600, 609, 634, 698, 747). The Attenborough hoard was found at Attenborough near Nottingham in 1966. It was published in full in the British Numismatic Journal Volume XXXVIII (1969) pages 50-83. This 1102 coins of the hoard, considered as one of the most important hoards found in the 20th century, was buried in 1420. Coins of Edward I-III included in this hoard had been in circulation for up to 130 years and tend to worn to a weight that is corresponding by weight loss to the current Henry V coins in circulation at the time of the hoard's burial. All coins were individually published in the BNJ account and have that number given in that account and the BNJ also on p.59 note that all the coins had been photographed by the British Museum.
