BENGAL PRESIDENCY, Indian Design, Murshidabad (Calcutta) Mint, 1777-1793, Perpetual 19 san sicca series, Standard Silver Currency, in the name of Shah Alam II (A.H. 1173-1221, A.D. 1759-1806), silver rupee and quarter rupee, regnal year 19 (fixed), both with date off flan, Privy mark crescent under Shah Alam, (cf.Pr. 136-148, 150, KM.82.3, 84.2). Very fine with attractive grey tone, both scarce. (2)

Ex Glendining's September 10, 1986 (lot 164 part), the fraction from Glendining's 1964 and Colin E. Pitchfork Collection, Noble Numismatics Sale 48 (lot 2128).
