SCOTLAND, Lockhart Stevenson 5sh(illings) countermarked on the obverse of a Mexico, Ferdinand VII eight reales 1812, issued by James Lockhart, spirit dealer of Stevenston, Ayrshire (Manville 98). Toned very fine and only example known and unknown to Manville.

Ex Tom Hanley Collection. A specimen exists in the British Museum ex Manville which has been cancelled by a grille punch.
