FRANCE, French Revolutionary Medal, Louis XVI, execution commemorative, 1793, in white metal (46mm), obverse, half figure of Louis XVI left, legend "Lud.XVI.Rex.Galliae Natus 23 August.1754", reverse, trophy of arms and soldier with spear over wild dog with left paw on decapitated head of Louis XVI, legend, "Vindicta Nefandi Criminis", in exergue "Denatus.21.IAN. / 1793". A few edge nicks otherwise nearly extremely fine.
