HUNGARY, Ludwig II, (1516-1526), but since 1509 King of Bohemia, silver medal 29mm, dated 1508, (7.90 grams), struck for his coronation, obv. the childlike crowned Ludwig II sits on Parade pillow with thick haircut, rev. seven line legend, (Fiala, Donebauer 974 variety). Has been mounted on edge, tooling in obverse field, otherwise good very fine and very rare.

Another example from the same obverse die but of a different reverse type was in the Peus Sale 381 (November 2, 2004) lot 3758 and realised 2100 euros.
