ANASTASIUS I, (A.D.491-518), gold tremissis, Constantinople mint, (1.436 grams), obv. bust of Anastasius I to right, with diadem, wearing cuirass and paludamentum, d N ANASTA SIVS PP AVI around, rev. Victory to right, head to left, star in right field, around VICTORIA AVGVSTORVM, CONOB in exergue, (S.8, DOC.10). Struck from rusted dies, otherwise very fine.
