SICILY, Syracuse, (c.474-450 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.588 grams), obv. slow quadriga driven to right by male charioteer, Nike flying left crowning charioteer, rev. **SURAKOSION around to right, head of Artemis-Arethusa to right, wearing sphendone four dolphins around, (cf.S.933 [£1000], Boehringer 723/720 as unpublished mule [same dies obverse 356/reverse 491]). Off centred obverse, ragged edge, otherwise nearly very fine and rare.

Ex Collection of M. Silton (USA). Boehringer records seven known examples from these dies most in Museums.
