TIBERIUS II CONSTANTINE, (A.D. 578-582), gold tremissis, Constantinople mint, (1.47 grams), obv. Tiberius II Constantine bust to right, with diadem, wearing cuirass and paludamentum, around dN CONSTAN TINVS PP AC, rev. cross potent, around VICTOR TIBERIAS (sic), in exergue CONOB, (S.425, cf.DOC 7, cf.R.923-4, cf.BMC 14ff). Weak on obverse legend, otherwise nearly extremely fine and a scarce issue.

Ex Ted Murphy Collection and previously from Noble Numismatics Sale 47 (lot 1960).
