HERACLIUS, (602-610), gold solidus, (4.46 grams), struck at Constantinople mint, Officina I, issued 610-613, obv. draped and cuirassed facing bust holding cross, wearing plumed helmet, rev. Cross potent on three steps, (S.731, DOC 3d). Large round flan, nearly extremely fine and scarce.

Ex Ted Murphy Collection and previously from Noble Numismatics Sale 44 (lot 1275).
