HERACLIUS, (602-610), gold solidus, (4.42 grams), struck at Constantinople mint, Officina E, issued 616-625, obv. draped and cuirassed facing crowned busts of Heraclius and Heraclius Constantine with cross between, rev. Cross potent on four steps, (S.738, DOC 13d). Large round flan, with flat spots, otherwise good fine with nearly extremely fine portraits.

Ex Ted Murphy Collection and previously from Noble Numismatics Sale 44 (lot 1276).
