JUSTINIAN II, (685-695 First Reign), gold tremissis, (1.25 grams), struck at Constantinople mint, issued 687-692, Class II, obv. draped facing bust holding globe on cross, with short beard, wearing crown, rev. Cross potent, (S.1255, DOC 13). Wrinkled flan weak in places, nearly very fine with extremely fine portrait and rare.

Ex Ted Murphy Collection and previously from Noble Numismatics Sale 44 (lot 1279).
