MICHAEL VII (1071-1078), electrum histamenon nomisma, (4.30 grams), struck at Constantinople mint, scyphate flan, Class II, obv. Bust of Christ facing, with nimbus, rev. Michael VII bust facing bearded wearing loros and crown, in right hand labarum, and in left hand globe with pelleted cross, legend variant, double border, (S.1868, DOC 2d.14). Large flan, nearly extremely fine.
