MICHAEL VII, (1071-1078), gold histamenon nomisma, (3.32 grams), struck at Constantinople mint, scyphate flan, Class I, obv. Christ enthroned facing, with nimbus, rev. Michael VII bust facing bearded wearing loros, in right hand labarum, and in left hand pelleted cross on globe, double border, (S.1868, DOC 1). Clipped flan, very fine/good very fine and rare.

Ex Ted Murphy Collection and previously from Noble Numismatics Sale 44 (lot 1289).
