MANUEL I, (1143-1180), electrum aspron trachy, (2.73 grams), struck at Constantinople mint, scyphate flan, obv. Christ bust facing, with nimbus, rev. The Virgin on right crowns Manuel I on left, wearing loros and crown, in right hand holds labarum and in left hand akakia, (S.1957, H. Pl.13, 1 variety). Large flan, good very fine.

Ex Ted Murphy Collection and previously from Noble Numismatics Sale 44 (lot 1294).
