ITALY, Campania, Neapolis, silver didrachms or nomoi, 317/310-300 B.C., (7.40, 7.12, 6.75, grams), Obv. Head of nymph right wearing diadem and earring, X behind, Rev. Man-headed bull walking right, head facing, crowned by Nike flying right above, below **EUX*, (cf.S.307, Sambon 477, HN 579, cf.SNG France 749-753 [Pl.55] Cantilena Series 56 Atti VII [p.143-4, notes 54 examples in collections), BMC 67-68, SNG ANS 370); another similar (6.96 grams), obv. with Thessalian helmet behind, rev. **Q* below (Sambon -, Cantilena Series 36 (6 examples noted), McClean 262, SNG ANS 348); another similar 300-280 B.C., (7.11 grams), obv. with Artemis to right with torch, (cf.S.307, cf.SNG France 791, Cantilena Series 73 (28 examples in collections), BMC 87, SNG ANS 352-4). Mostly with dark tone, otherwise very good - fine, some off-centred. (5)
