HADRIAN, (A.D. 117-138), silver denarius, issued 121, Rome mint, (2.786 grams), obv. laureate head to right of Hadrian, around [IMP C]AESAR TRAIAN HADRIANVS [AVG], rev. LIBERAL AV[G] in exergue, P M TR [P COS III] around, Hadrian seated to left on platform, praetorian prefect behind, Liberalitas stands in background in centre, citizen on steps holding folds of toga, (S.3504, RIC 131, BMC 297, RSC 910). Good fine, and rare.

The Reka Devnia hoard of 81,044 silver coins contained 5892 coins of Hadrian, it contained only one coin of this type.
