SOUTH INDIA, Vijayanagar, Achyutaraya, (1530-1542), gold half pagoda, obv. double headed eagle flying upwards (Gandabherunda) carrying an elephant in each claw, rev. legend in Nagari in three lines 'Sri Pra ta pa chyu ta ra ya' (M.908 [£75], F.348, Ramesan Type XXIV, p.70-1 Pl.XVII, 34). Very fine and rare.
