U.S.A., buffalo nickel, 1916 double die. Nearly extremely fine (or AU55) and very rare.

Recently found in New Zealand. It is believed troops returning via Panama brought these nickels home with them in their change. A total of six have been found in New Zealand, with this specimen being the finest and equal to AU55 examples offered in the United States.
