PAUL SIMON MEMORIAL AWARD, undated, in bronze (66mm) by Michael Meszaros (2) the first edge engraved, ’Thomas Edward Hanley, N.S.W. 1980’, the second with edge engraved, ’Joyce Hanley No. 33’. In boxes of issue, uncirculated.

The Paul Simon Memorial Award was established in 1977 by Mrs Jessica Simon of Ballarat, Victoria, in memory of her late husband. It is awarded for outstanding contribution to the Australian numismatic fraternity. Mrs Hanley’s award No.33 was made in 2006. Up to 2009 only 38 had been awarded. Ex Tom and Joyce Hanley Collection.
