WEST AFRICA, Gold Coast Settlements, George III, silver ackey, 1796, plain edge, struck in 1801 in reduced silver fineness of .890 (from .925) reads 'Parliament', struck by the Soho Mint Birmingham (Vice FT2; KM.7). Usual die cud on reverse rim at 7 o'clock, underlying bloom, grey toned extremely fine and very rare.
