MACRINUS, (A.D. 217-218), silver denarius, Rome Mint, (2.55 gm), issued A.D. 217-8, obv. bearded Macrinus laureate cuirassed bust to right, around IMP C M OPEL SEV MACRINVS AVG. rev. Fides Militum standing facing, head to right, foot on helmet, holding standard in each hand, around FIDES MILITVM, (S.7335, RIC 67, RSC 23f). Toned, flan crack, nearly extremely fine and rare.
