CARIA, Satraps of, Maussollos, (377-353 B.C.), silver drachm (3.50 gm), obv. three-quarter facing head of Apollo wearing laurel wreath, head turned slightly right, rev. Zeys Labraundos standing right, holding double axe (labrys) and lotus-tipped sceptre, ME monogram to left, name **MAUSSWLL[O]* to right, (S.4956, SNG von Aulock 2365, cf.SNG Cop, 591). Toned, extremely fine/good very fine and very rare.
