SCOTLAND, Glasgow, Thistle Bank four shillings and ninepence on Mexico Charles IIII silver eight reales 1799FM (Manville 46, Davis 80). Very fine and scarce.

Ex Alan Jordan Collection and W.J. Noble Collection, Noble Numismatics Sale 58 (lot 1588) where it was purchased from Dolphin Coins in 1981 and previously from Spink. Manville records three examples on 1799 Mexico City eight reales coins and that listing includes this coin.
