BORNEO, (Malaysia, Brunei), brass cannon money, 115mm, 215 grams, late 19th century early 20th century, with fish handles on top, used for trading purposes, barter of goods, payment of fines and in engagement and wedding ceremonies (Opitz [2000 edn.] p.100 as illustrated). Very fine and very scarce.
